LIPA CITY [Release]–A new science park will set foot in neighboring Malvar town and will produce job opportunities for Batangueños, including this city’s residents.
Being constructed are some buildings and a centralized wastewater treatment plant that can treat 1,000 cubic meters of water daily. By 2019, road networks are expected to be completed, said the Science Park of the Philippines, Inc. A 122-ha south site will be open by the first quarter of the year. A north site (89 ha.) will be finished by the end of 2019.
Light Industry & Science Park IV will be ready in full capacity by 2020, SPPI said in a release.
Malvar and a part of Lipa City is also home to another economic processing zone, the Lipa-Malvar (LiMa) Technology Center. If Lipeños pass by the STAR Tollway, they will come across one of the country’s biggest economic zones: the First Philippine industrial Park (FPIP).
