Lian, Batangas – A 36-year-old has been found dead with stabbed wounds near a barangay road in Balibago here on Friday morning.
Lian Police Chief PSI John Rellian identified the victim as Christopher Yumang, a resident of Barangay Dalig, Balayan, Batangas.
Police said Yumang’s corpse was discovered at about 6 am, laid flat on the grassland about two meters away from the road with multiple stabbed wounds. A post mortem examination revealed that the victim had 14 stabbed wounds on his chest, one on the nape and five on his face.
Rellian said they suspect that the victim may have been killed elsewhere and dumped at the said area as no blood stains were found at the crime scene.
The victim’s hands appeared to be on the upward position, which indicates that he might have been pulled and dumped by his alleged killers to the place where he was found.
Police found out that the victim left their house at about 6 pm on Thursday aboard a motorcycle without telling anybody where he is going at that time.
Investigators said they have yet to identify the suspects and their possible motive for killing as the victim’s brother Tomas said Christopher had no known enemies in the past.
